Buckeyes Sweep Conference Tournament
/Last weekend, the Buckeyes traveled to Miami University to compete in their first CWPA tournament of the year. This weekend would see the Buckeyes facing the four teams who finished 2nd through 5th at championships last season.
Grand Valley was the first team to test the Buckeyes in Great Lakes division play. After trading goals to start the game, the Buckeyes found their groove and won 12-9. The Fighting Irish were up next, and the Buckeyes were able to pull out a 13-5 victory.
Sunday morning was a rematch of the 2014 Great Lakes division championship game against University of Illinois-Chicago. The Buckeyes were not going to let it be close like last year, extinguishing the Flames and winning 13-6. In the last game of the weekend, the Buckeyes played the host Redhawks, winning 18-10 in a high scoring affair to secure the top seed at the division championships at Ohio State on October 31 and November 1.
The Buckeyes are now 7-0 on the year, heading into the Harvest Invite at the University of Cincinnati on October 3-4.
